Where's the Money, Lebowski?

Privacy

This site has no accounts, ads, cookies, analytics or tracking. We don't collect, sell or share personal information.

Finding your ballot

ZIP codes, town names and your device's location (only if you allow it) are matched in your browser. To do that, your browser downloads a map file for your area from this site, named by the first three digits of your ZIP code or by your state.

A typed street address goes from your browser directly to the U.S. Census Bureau's address service, which sees it and your IP address. We never receive it.

Your state and district appear in the page's link, so the Back button and sharing work. Nothing else is saved.

The quiz

Your answers stay in your browser. They're saved on your device only if you tick "Keep my picks". The share card is made on your device and leaves it only if you share it; your picks appear on it only if you turn that on.

Hosting

The site is served by Amazon Web Services (S3 and CloudFront), which process your IP address to deliver the pages. We don't turn on access logs. Cloudflare runs the site's domain names, and handles requests to the old address (electionmoneyflow.com) and the www addresses, which it redirects here.

Tip jar

The tip jar at the end of the quiz is a plain link to Buy Me a Coffee. Nothing from that site loads here, and nothing about you or your picks is sent to it. If you follow the link, Buy Me a Coffee's own privacy policy applies there.

Donor information

Names and amounts of donors come from public filings with the Federal Election Commission and the states. They're republished for public information only, not for solicitation or commercial use.
